The rules used to research, describe, and correct Jaded Evidence coverage.
Source hierarchy
- Filed court records, orders, transcripts, exhibits, and official docket entries
- Law-enforcement, government, and institutional records
- On-the-record statements and direct source material
- Credible reporting with named sourcing and transparent corrections
- Social-media content, used cautiously and identified for what it is
Language and verification
Facts, allegations, disputed claims, analysis, and unanswered questions are not interchangeable. Jaded Evidence labels them accordingly and links or identifies source material whenever practical.
Presumption of innocence
An arrest, charge, indictment, lawsuit, or public accusation is not proof. Defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Civil allegations remain allegations unless admitted or established by judgment.
Corrections
Material factual errors will be corrected clearly. Developing stories may also be updated when new records change the available picture. A good-faith correction is part of evidence-based work, not an embarrassment to hide.
Medical and legal limitations
Content is educational commentary and general information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, legal advice, or a forensic opinion. Jaded Evidence is not affiliated with law enforcement, the courts, or the parties discussed unless expressly stated.
Copyright and fair use
Short excerpts, images, and clips may be used for criticism, commentary, news reporting, education, or analysis. Ownership remains with the respective rights holders. Concerns may be submitted through the Contact page for review.
