ACTIVE INDICTMENT · MANHATTAN, NEW YORK

Dr. Tariq Lamki

Two patients, six charged counts, and allegations involving conduct during neurological appointments.

Charges

On October 13, 2026, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced that neurologist Tariq Lamki, 51, had been indicted in New York State Supreme Court on six counts:

  • Two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony.
  • Two counts of forcible touching, a class A misdemeanor.
  • Two counts of third-degree sexual abuse, a class B misdemeanor.

Prosecution allegations

Prosecutors allege that Lamki sexually abused two patients during separate neurological appointments on August 25 and September 2, 2026. The district attorney’s office says the alleged conduct occurred in closed examination rooms and was presented under the guise of medical testing or massage.

The published release credits NYPD Manhattan Special Victims Squad Detective Steven Clarke with investigative work and identifies Assistant District Attorney Davis Rosser as the prosecutor.

Legal status and limits

An indictment is an accusation approved for prosecution; it is not a conviction. Lamki is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. The public release does not provide a defense attorney, trial date, or adjudicated finding about either patient’s allegation.

Because the allegations concern patients receiving medical care, this page does not publish their identities. The facts must be evaluated through admissible evidence, witness testimony, and court rulings.
